Pastor Scott was born and raised in North Houston. He has been married to Athena Thomas for 29 years. They are the parents of 3 adult aged children, Jerrell, Germani, and Katherine. Pastor Scott and his wife also have two grandchildren. He has lived in Sugar Land, TX since 1997.

Pastor Scott is the CFO of Thomas and Lewin Associates, a Home and Community Based agency that provides individualized services and support to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Thomas & Lewin Associates has offices in Rosenberg, Brenham, and Conroe, Texas and employs 100 employees.

Pastor Scott and his wife are the founders and visionaries of BMAT Foundation, a non-profit agency established to provide mentoring and college scholarships for students at their alma maters, Kashmere and Jack Yates High Schools. He also serves as Secretary and Investment Officer for Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District, #25.

Pastor Scott accepted the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2013. At that time, the Lord called him to travel to Atlanta, Georgia on a weekly basis to attend bible school. He holds an Associate’s degree in Biblical Studies and a certificate in Christian Advisement. After graduating from bible school, Pastor Scott sought the Lord about his calling and assignment in the Body of Christ and accepted the call to Pastor in 2015. Pastor Scott and his wife founded Abounding Grace Church in 2019. Pastor Scott feels called to teach God’s word, balancing faith in Jesus immersed in Christ’s love.
